Television stations are recently witnessing an extensive screening of Gulf TV series. "Jari Ya Hamouda" is a Saudi Comedy which portrays middle class life in a Saudi setting. It is a 30 episode series that will start airing on Monday 19 January on MBC 1.
“Jari Ya Hamouda,” is directed by Syrian director Waleed Al-Aqil and written by Alaa Hamza, Saad Almodhesh and Anbar Aldawsari.
Saudi actors Yousuf Al-Jarrah and Ghanem Alsleiti, are in the film’s lead roles; Most of the scenes are being shot in Riyadh and Jeddah. The story revolves around a Saudi family, "Hamouda", his father, his wife, and their two teenage kids all live in a villa, he decides to lease the top floor to benefit from an extra income however Hamouda's character is hard to cope with and he ends up evicting all the tenants who rented the space.
The Tenants are protrayed by Ghanem Alsleiti and are from different nationality and background and each single one of them has an unsusual story along with a cultural and social reference.
