After the strong and fierce competition between Abdel Salam, Layan Bazlamit and Ahmad Ezzat, Ahmad received the highest percentage of the viewers’ votes while the students chose Layan to return to the academy. Thus, Abdel Salam’s journey towards winning the Star Academy 8 title ended. As for the prime guests, they were Miriam Fares and the holder of the Star Academy 7 title, Nassif Al Zaitoun.
Nassif returned to the same stage that shot him to stardom to intriduce his new songs to the audience that has been eagerly waiting to see the outcome. He sang “Tayr El Horiyyi” and “Sabrak Alayyi” accompanied by the Syrian candidate Mohammad Dakdouk. He then sang “Tal El Sahar” with Sarah Farah. And when asked about how it felt to be back on the Star Academy stage, Nassif said that he feels like he’s a candidate performing at his first ever prime, and it felt amazing.
Miriam Fares peformed her new song in the Moroccan accent, entitled “Itlah” and Oumayma was singing with her. She was then joined by each of Oumayma and Layan in the Khaliji song “Khallani”. And in a surprise move, Miriam chose to sing “Ghannili Shwayyi Shwayyi” solo, and she said that she chose this song wanting to sing a tarab song inspired by the tarab section that each prime offers.
And speaking of the tarab section, Sarah and Oumayma gave a hats down performance of the song “Alli Gara”, and then Sarah sang solo “Ala El Mani” as part of the folklore section.
On the other hand, Ahmad sang “Ala Ad El Sho’” in the “faces” tableau, Nesma “Am Yes’aluni Alyak El Nas” in the “seats” tableau and Gilbert peroformed “Amor Di Mi Amor” in a Mexcian tableau.
And in the English section, Nesma sang “The Winner Takes It All”, but at one point she forgot some of the lyrics and it was obvious that she was sad about it.
With the number of candidates growing lesser each week, the top 4 is now the top3 students of the week report. It came as follows: 3-Sarah Farah 2- Oumayma Taleb and for the first during the program, the number 1 spot went to Mohammad Dakdouk who won 5,000$ in cash to spend as he pleases.
After 13 primes, we are only 3 weeks and 3 primes away from figuring out which of the remaining candidates will hold the Star Academy 8 title.
