Songül Öden, born in Diyarbakir on February 17, 1979, is a Turkish actress of Kurdish origin. Songül Öden is well known as The Rose of Turkey. Songül's father moved to Ankara where she spent her chilhood. She was graduated from the Turkish Academy for Theater.
Songül'n name means a rose and actually she is a very beautiful,soft and delicate Turkish Pink Rose as many people call her. She was married to Canberk Uçucu, who is also an actor and which she divorced in 2008.
Songül Öden is known in Turkey for her acting in many plays on Turkish theaters(drama). In 2005, She acted in a Tv series Gümüş (Noor) in which she plays the title role Gümüş. The series last for 2 years. Gümüş is also known by its Arabic title Noor and the series became an obession for many arabs and it's believed that a whopping 85 million viewers watched the translated Turkish soap opera throughout the Arab World. In 2008, Songül Öden also acted in a Tv drama (Vazgeç Gönlüm).
