Voluptuous beauty Salma Hayek may have earned her fame in provocative roles and through some steamy scenes, but she has sought to portray herself as a serious actress and humanitarian (she is now a goodwill ambassador for UNICEF).
Moreover, Hayek hasn’t had reservations about flaunting her fiery femininity, but she certainly has not expressed any doubt about her sexual preferences. It is also a well-publicized fact that Salma is of both Mexican and Lebanese origin.
On a recent interview on British channel ITV’s ‘This Morning’ show, North Irish presenter Eamonn Holmes was deeply embarrassed after mishearing the sexy starlet. Eamonn made a comment about Salma’s name and suggested that it doesn’t sound very Mexican, and she responded that it is because she is half-Lebanese. Stunned, the presenter then leaned forward and inquired, “You’re half-lesbian?!”
Hayek was a good sport about it: she laughed it off and then slowly repeated the words, “I am Lebanese.” Needless to say, Holmes was apologetic, red-faced and in clear discomfort for much of the remainder of the interview.
That should probably teach Holmes to do his research better next time.
Do you think Robert Pattinson should forgive Kristen Stewart for cheating on him?
