
Shawn Corey Carter, born on December 4, 1969, better known as his stage name, Jay-Z, is an American hip hop artist and businessman. He is one of the most financially successful hip hop artists and entrepreneurs in America, having sold over 26 million copies in the United States.
From the beginning of his professional recording career, Jay-Z, and Kareem Biggs created Roc-A-Fella Records as their own independent label. Jay-Z released his 1996 debut album "Reasonable Doubt". "In My Lifetime" was released in 1997, then came "Hard Knock Life" (1998), "Life and Times of S.
