Scriptwriter Tarek Al Badawi filed a lawsuit against Haifa Wehbe, producer Mohammad Fawzi and writer Mustapha Muharram for plagiarizing his series "Noussa" in the series "Mawled W Sahbo Ghayeb". He claimed the rights to the series as well as to stop the filming of "Mawled W Sahbo Ghayeb", adding that he already had an agreement with "Arab Screen" to produce his work.
