Elissa Will Not Co-Star with Amr Diab in "Al Shohra"

Sources close to Egyptian singer Amr Diab shot down the rumors which spread recently saying that Elissa is going to co-star in “Al Shohra” series telling Amr’s life story.
And in a special statement made to our reporter in Cairo, the source told us that Amr himself was surprised to hear the news and that he completely denied any project brining him together with the Lebanese singer.
The source also added that such collaboration is almost impossible to do, since Amr’s financial terms of agreement to do the series were substantially huge and if Elissa were to be in it as well, she wouldn’t agree to get paid any less. Thus, the producing company will have difficulty in funding the project, even if it is Rotana, which has the financial assets.
Also, the series is about Amr’s life story, and there is no way Elissa would agree to be in a work that does not revolve around her, no matter how close she may be a friend to Amr.
