The animated movie "Puss in Boots" was released last weekend and Antonio Banderas and Salma Hayek lend their voices to its lead characters.
The movie opened up at number 1 in the US box office, grossing 34 million dollars in its opening weekend, and pushing down "Paranormal Activity 3" to the second spot.
In third place came Justin Timberlake's "In Time" followed by "Footloose" at number 4.
Johnny Depp's "The Rum Diary" is not doing good at all landing in at number 5 this week.
It's to be mentioned that Disney is planning to revive some of its classical and timeless movies through showing them again in theatres for a limited period of time and in 3D animation.
