After his remarks on Arabs Got Talent, Saher El Saher explains: "When Ali Jaber asked me whether I was the nephew of Kazem El Saher, I told him that he is a "Nahss" (bad luck in Arabic) in art. I was misunderstood. In Iraqi dialect, this term means that Kazem is "strict", whereas he is hadworking and serious.
Saher said he believed in himself and only counted on his own talent. He concluded: "I can only count on my talent. My uncle had no influence whatsoever on the jury, and doesn't even know that I'm participating in the show. I refuse to live in his shadow".
