Carmen Sleiman shines today on Arab Idol, along with Nadia Al Manfoukh, Youssef Arafat and Donia Batma. Carmen, 17, has a great potential and a great voice; but why was her original name "Carmen Issam" replaced with "Carmen Sleiman"?
One can find videos of her on YouTube, viewed thousands of times. "Carmen Issam" even won the 1st prize at the 19th Arab Music Festival back in 2010. Why then give her a name that is not hers?
